- Quarkmine: Coding Literacy
- Come and learn how you can use RobotC Programming in your classroom. This is a hands-on workshop. Teachers will play with, and program the VEX IQ robots in the same manner that elementary, middle, and high school age students would be taught these beginning programming skills. Teachers will increase their familiarity with computer programming and gain skills that are transferable to many other technology areas. For this introduction class, teachers will specifically be working with the VEX IQ Robotics platform and RobotC computer language.

- For the first half of the course, participants learn about the foundational elements of literacy development from kindergarten to high school and the importance of teaching critical thinking skills. The literacy component will affirm elementary teachers understanding of the developmental stages of reading and writing. For secondary educators, it will help expand a deeper understanding of how students might struggle with reading content. In the latter part of the course, an array of technology tools and resources will be introduced. Differentiated examples of how to integrate technology for elementary and secondary are shared. Participants reflect how they provide critical thinking opportunities in literacy and design a lesson integrating technology and encouraging deeper thinking for their students.

- METS RALLY
- It is increasingly difficult for local districts to provide financial support (including sub costs) for local EdTech Leaders to attend this event. One of the goals of METS is to facilitate communication and collaboration amongst METS Group members. We feel that providing financial support for attending this annual event is one way we can bring our members together so that face to face communication and collaboration can happen.
